Overview
Opened in 2012 by Mahiki & Whiskey mist duo Guy Pelly and Marc Burton, Tonteria evokes a traditional Mexican hacienda with a outlandish twist.
Situated in a 2350 sq.ft basement in Chelsea’s Sloane Square, Tonteria serves an eclectic selection of authentic and innovative cocktails along side an extensive bottle menu. Known for its infamous frozen margaritas and tequila cocktails, guests are served shots via a toy train and exotically dressed performers entertain a star-studded array of visitors.
Generating a classy yet fun atmosphere, Tonteria has cemented its place at the top of London’s vibrant concept bar scene. Mexican themed decadence is the order of the day, serving tapas from 8pm and gradually transitioning into late bar through until 3am.
With 11 tables and booths available for reservation, the Chelsea favourite is intimate but not claustrophobic. The layout lends itself perfectly to exuberant fun, allowing guests to party in their area as well as on the main dance floor.
You may even bump into a prince or two! Owner Guy Pelly is good friends with both Prince Harry & Prince William, and has hosted guests including Jessie J & Kate Middleton.

Will I be able to gain entry without guestlist or a table reservation?
No - every club featured is strictly guestlist or table reservation only. Entry is always at the door's discretion based on the clubs entry policy, however table reservations take priority admittance over guestlist reservations.
What do I do when I arrive at the club?
If you have a table reservation, you inform the door host who will direct you to the queue-jump area for tables. When prompted, you quote the lead name the table reservation is booked under. If you're on the guestlist, you join the guestlist queue and quote "Blu Nightlife Guestlist" or simply show your text message at the door, which means you have been placed on the guestlist.
What does minimum spend mean with a table reservation?
Minimum spend is the minimum order necessary to reserve the table. The table reservation is for the entirety of the evening and there is no charge for the table itself, simply you must spend the minimum or over the minimum spend.

With regards to table reservations, if people are arriving at different times they simply quote the lead name on the booking at the door. Should people be arriving at different times on the guestlist, they simply quote the guestlist name "Blu Nightlife."
